Online Truancy Tracking Information System

Capable of handling any number of districts, the system facilitates the entire truancy administration process. Some of the features are:

  • Secure login and access to data
  • Online pre-referral checklist
  • Cross-district identification of students within the system
  • Centralized database maintains student history across districts
  • Easy to use log entry forms
  • Automatically generated notices (Violation notice, 30-day follow-up, envelopes)
  • Contact information for parents, guardians and other team members
  • Individual Student Log reports
  • Sibling Search allows users to identify possible siblings of students in the system
  • Summary reports for administrators (building summary, district summary)
  • Web-based - No special software needed.

OTTIS has an administrative component and a user component. The administrative component allows truancy administrators to set up users, add districts to the system, and import student data from external sources such as Zangle. The user component allows referring officials to make referrals after a search of the truancy database to make sure the student is not already in the system. An online pre-referral checklist ensures that best practices are followed prior to the creation of a referral, and the system will automatically notify the appropriate officials for a 30-day follow-up.

Features
  • Provide efficient means of collecting truancy referral information across district and storing centrally
  • Provide feedback to schools based on collected data
  • Provide summary reports for superintendents, principals, and truancy officials
  • Provides ongoing truancy history for a student as they move to different buildings or even different districts
  • Prevents duplication of records
  • Automatically generate necessary documents
